I read a little blurb about a physician who recently gave a talk about how to prevent breast cancer. The article did not give specifics, but the whole premise of his talk made me furious. Can you imagine how many women in his community read about this talk and rushed to hear him tell them how they could avoid getting breast cancer? It reminded of the traveling snake-oil salesman with his magic elixirs “guaranteed” to cure whatever ailed you.
